Bashall Barn in the heart of the Ribble Valley is home to Bowland Brewery which makes handcrafted real ales - look out for Sawley Tempted, Hen Harrier and Bowland Dragon. The brewery’s visitor centre has a viewing window overlooking the process, displays and lots of beer-related items on offer. Bashall Barn also houses Victoria’s India curry sauces and chutneys and Ribblesdale Honey with onsite extraction bee keeping, training and honey-making.

Afternoon
Clitheroe - there are so many good butchers in Lancashire it’s hard to select just one to visit but we’ve plumped for one of the most well-known, Cowman's of Clitheroe, producing over 70 different types of award-winning sausages, some with surprising ingredients from their aptly named Famous Sausage Shop. While in Clitheroe, why not also visit D Byrne and Co, a multi-award winning independent wine merchant with labyrinthine cellars and Cheesie Tchaikovsky, a specialist cheese shop and delicatessen.

Evening
Moorhouses Brewery
A tour of the brewery will not only show you how the beer is made but give you the chance to sample some of these fantastic ales, such as Pendle Witches Brew and Pride of Pendle, followed by a traditional Lancashire supper.
