What's On in Pennine Lancashire 

Every autumn one of the UK's largest free walking festivals takes place across the beautiful Pendle landscape.  Walks include the spellbinding Pendle Witches Trail.  2012 will see the 400th anniversary of the Pendle Whitches' trial.  Pennine Lancashire will celebrate this famous trial with an exciting programme of bewitching events.  Festival Bowland is a year long calendar of events that celebrate the birds, wildlife, landscape and culture of the beautiful Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

    

Must See and Do in Pennine Lancashire

Take a trip on the steam hauled East Lancashire Railway which skirts the West Pennine Moors passing through the pretty Irwell Valley.  

For those looking for a challenge, a climb to Pendle Hill is a must, full of mystery and infamous as the home of the Pendle Witches.  You will be rewarded for your efforts with stunning views. 

Standing proudly in the centre of the historic market town is Clitheroe Castle where visitors take a journey through 350 million years of history and explore 16 acres of surrounding gardens and the only Labyrinth in Lancashire.
