Interactive Blockbuster Invites Visitors To Be The Star
Lancashire’s Tourism bosses are using groundbreaking technology to bring the seaside resort into the homes of British holidaymakers.
Would-be visitors browsing www.blackpoolthemovie.com will find themselves starring in their very own Blackpool movie trailer, featuring favourite photographs from their online photo albums and propelling them on a white-knuckle tour of Blackpool’s hottest visitor attractions.
Blackpool: The Movie has been designed by Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB) to encourage potential holiday-makers to visit Blackpool and to maximize internet chatter on popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and Youtube.
The fully interactive Blackpool: The Movie launches at this year’s BOBI (Best of Britain and Ireland) trade forum and consumer exhibition 17-21 March, as part of British Tourism Week.
