Blackpool Circus School Workshops

Blackpool Circus School is operated by ex Circus Artistes and it's main activity is to present Circus skills workshops. There are two venues where the activities take place, Highfield Humanities College South shore and Fleetwood Sports College in the evening during term time. They also visit schools in Blackpool & Lancashire for all School ages with one hour taster sessions to whole term after school workshops. Other activities that involved the Circus School this year were Fetes and Gala's such as "Showzam" Poulton Carnival, Lytham Carnival, Jubilee gardens, Hawthorne gardens, East Pines Gardens and further afield were Croft and Winwick carnival days. Members of the Circus School help at the workshops and take part in the Parades on Stilts, Unicycles & Juggling with various items. In 2010 the Circus School organized a National Youth Circus event to complement "Showzam" The Circus school carried out workshops in the Winter Gardens on most days and joined 12 groups of Circus Youths from all parts of the United Kingdom.

On the 22nd of August the Circus School will be presenting a skills workshop for all the family in St John's square from 12-3 pm. The items in use will be for the whole family and members of the school will be on hand to provide help and tuition. Even better it's FREE.
